It might not be too late to discuss how to keep your outdoor fountain survived through winter season. Caring for your water fountain couldn’t take so much time, it’s just take some effort to spend a little time and care for it to really survive and last longer.
Before the winter freeze up the water in the basin of your fountain, make sure you unconfined it and dry it off. If you haven’t done that ahead of time, just don’t try to break the ice because it might cause more damage and cracks on your water fountain. Make sure you check the water pump performance before keeping it, to make sure it is not damage before storing it. It would also help you tell if it was damage before storing it or due to the weather condition and storing condition.
Another best idea to help your outdoor fountain survive the chilling winter season is providing it a jacket like cover, a tarpaulin enclosed sheet for your water fountain. It will prevent accumulation of snow and moisture in your water fountain basin. It will definitely preserve your water fountain through winter season.
